Ms. Carmen Moa-Rivera
Business Services Coordinator
Ms. Moa-Riveria was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and her first language is Spanish. She graduated from Auburn University in Alabama with a Master in Public Administration with emphasis in public policies and nonprofit organization management and leadership. She also completed a bachelors degree in Social Studies from Troy University.
After receiving her education, she worked at the Alabama Department of Community Affairs (ADECA), Workforce Development Division and Governor’s Resources Programs as a Planning and Economic Development Specialist. For the Workforce Development, she administered a federally funded program created to assist businesses with employee training, retention and hiring. For the Governor's’ Resource Programs, she administered two state-funded programs that provided tax incentives for hiring employees from economically distressed regions. After relocating to North Carolina, she worked as a Program Coordinator for the Rural Advancement Foundation International, coordinating the research and business activities related to crop Insurance program.
Since July 2015, she has been working as a Business Services Coordinator, and now works full time for the Engineering and Computer Science Department.
