Directory Information

Dr. John Morrison has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Indiana University and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Texas. Dr. Morrison joined the NCSSM mathematics department in 2000, coming from the Mathematics and Computer Science department at the Bergen Academies.  He began teaching NCSSM's AP Computer Science offering in 2002.  He oversaw the AP exam's transition to Java and began teaching Python in 2004.  In 2005, he founded the Computer Science program, working with Dennis Yeh.    

Dr. Morrison has served on numerous committees, including the ad hoc committee on joining the UNC system in 2002, several faculty evaluation committees, and  the Academic Technology Committee.  He has also been an external curriculum reviewer for the Illinois Math and Science Academy's computer science program.  He maintains a website at https://faculty.ncssm.edu/~morrison.
