Dr. Marjorie Letitia Hubbard is an instructor of Engineering and Research at the North Carolina School of Science and Math in Durham, NC. She earned her B.S. in Physics from Spelman College and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech through a dual degree program at the Atlanta University Center Consortium. Dr. Hubbard received her Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, where she was James B. Duke Scholar, a National Science Foundation Fellow, and a UNCF/Merck Graduate fellow. 

Prior to starting her current position at the North Carolina School of Science and Math, Dr. Hubbard completed a postdoc at Duke University, where her research focused on using computational models to study arrhythmias in the heart. As a graduate student and postdoc, Dr. Hubbard also gained experience developing and teaching science education curricula for elementary school students through the BOOST program at Duke University and experience mentoring students in computational science research at the undergraduate level. In her current position, she teaches Biomedical Engineering to both residential and online high school students, and she is heavily involved with curriculum development and K-12 outreach. She also prepares students for research experiences at local universities and company by teaching professional and technical communication skills.
